Implementing a training programme focusing on improving mental wellbeing in the workplace involves changing the culture of the whole organisation. Our mental health courses encourage the development of a learning organisation where understanding of, and openness towards mental health is actively promoted. Our work with Wigan CCG has already shown the significant value of senior managers attending and engaging in these courses, demonstrating the organisational support for the outcomes that are expected.
The course aims to help organisations become more sensitive to mental health matters, with the aim of being able to recognise issues earlier, and to support and signpost staff effectively if mental ill health or mental illness is identified.
